Before participating in the campaign, all participants must carefully read and abide by the following terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms and Conditions"). By registering on the event website, uploading files, or participating in any experience, participants represent that they have read, understood, and unconditionally agreed to be bound by all contents of these Terms and Conditions.
Section I: Basic Event Information and Organizers
The “5G Velocity Redefined: Infinite VR Possibilities” Event (hereinafter referred to as “the Campaign”) is organized by MTR Advertising (hereinafter referred to as “the Organizer”), and managed by JCDecaux Pearl & Dean Limited and Bravo Media Limited (hereinafter referred to as “the Advertising Agencies”).
Project Partners of the Campaign include China Mobile Hong Kong Company Limited, CSL Mobile Limited, Hutchison Telecommunications (Hong Kong) Limited, and SmarTone Mobile Communications Limited.
The Campaign will be held on this website (www.5gvrmtr.com) and other designated locations. Participants may register for the 5G VR event (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”) during the registration period.
The registration period on this website is from 24 August 2026 to 14 October 2026, both dates inclusive.
The Event period is from 2 September 2026 to 14 October 2026, both dates inclusive.
All time records for the Campaign shall be based on the receiving and recording time of the Organizers’ system server.
Participants must be aged 18 or above.
Participation in the Event involves the usage of mobile networks and data traffic. Participants’ network service providers may charge fees for data usage. For details, please check with your network service provider. The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies assumes no responsibility for any such charges.
Section II: Event Locations
Event locations include designated areas at MTR Austin Station, Causeway Bay Station, Central Station, Exhibition Centre Station, Hong Kong Station, Kai Tak Station, Kowloon Tong Station, and Tsim Sha Tsui Station (hereinafter referred to as the “Experience Zones”).
Please note that Participants are required to pay the applicable MTR fare to enter the station and participate in the Event if the venue is located within the paid area of the MTR network.
Section III: Rules of Online Registration and the Event
Participants may use a network-enabled smart device to scan the QR code on the Campaign advertisements in designated MTR stations, or access the Campaign website via links from other promotional channels authorized by the Organizers and the Advertising Agencies.
Participants must complete the registration procedure as instructed on the Campaign website:
(i) Select the desired experience theme, designated MTR station, experience date, and timeslot;
(ii) Upload a clear, frontal, single-person close-up photograph as material;
(iii) Input required personal information for identity verification and to receive their event ticket.
Participants must provide true and accurate personal information (including name, email address, and age range) on the website to complete the registration.
Successfully registered participants will receive an electronic event ticket by their provided email address.
Participants must securely keep their electronic event ticket. Lost tickets will not be re-issued by the Organizer or the Advertising Agencies.
The Event includes Virtual Reality (hereinafter referred to as “VR”) Interactive Games and gift redemptions. Quotas for the Events and gifts are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
Each participant may register for only one time slot per event per day.
This Event includes several “Sponsored VR Experiences” and “MTR Advertising VR Experience Gallery”. Those interested in participating in the “MTR Advertising VR Experience Gallery” must first register and complete at least one “Sponsored VR Experiences” before registering for the “MTR Advertising VR Experience Gallery” on this website. Quotas are limited for each session and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until all slots are filled.
Participants must arrive on time at the designated Experience Zone at their registered date and time and present their event ticket to staff.
If the event ticket cannot be provided, the registration will be cancelled and the participant shall not be able to participate in the Event.
If a participant does not arrive at the designated Experience Zone at their registered date and time, their registration will be cancelled and the participant shall not be able to participate in the Event.
Event tickets are for the personal use of the registered participant only and may not be transferred, resold, or provided to others in any form. If an event ticket is found to have been transferred or resold, the ticket will be deemed invalid.
Section IV: Photo Upload, Portrait Generation, and Privacy Protection
Uploaded photos must feature a participant’s personal single real human face in a clear, frontal close-up (with facial features clearly distinguishable). Group photos containing more than one person are strictly prohibited, and non-human images (including but not limited to animals, plants, objects, anime/cartoon characters, illustrations, or virtual avatars) are strictly forbidden.
The photo file format must be JPEG / PNG, and the file size must be from 500 KB and do not exceed 5 MB. Facial features must not be obscured by masks, sunglasses, face covers, excessive photo editing, or special effects.
By uploading a photo to the Campaign website, the participant warrants that he/she has the full legal rights to the uploaded photo and that the uploaded photo does not infringe upon the intellectual property, portrait, or privacy rights of any third party. In the event of any legal proceedings arising from copyright infringement of the uploaded photo, the participant shall assume full legal responsibility.
By uploading a photo to the Campaign website, the participant warrants that it contains no illegal, infringing, abusive, defamatory, obscene, indecent, threatening, politically sensitive, commercial promotional, or public figure images.
If an uploaded photo cannot be clearly identified by the system, is corrupted, fails to comply with the above specifications, is suspected of infringement, or lacks clearly identifiable personal features, the Organizers and the Advertising Agencies reserve the right to refuse the use of the photo and substitute it directly with a default generic virtual image for the experience, without prior notice or compensation.
The Organizers and the Advertising Agencies will collect, store, reproduce, modify, and use the uploaded photo to generate an “AI Portrait”, create customized VR interactive experience content, and display it via live broadcasts, replays, featured showcases, and related campaign promotions on designated electronic screens within MTR stations. This authorization is worldwide, irrevocable, and royalty-free in any channels including but not limited to electronic screens within MTR stations, online platforms, social media and other promotional channels approved by the Organizer or the Advertising Agencies.
Participants understand and agree that AI Portrait generation results may vary depending on photo quality and angle. The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies make no guarantees regarding similarity or effect and assume no liability.
The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies may transfer and share the AI Portrait, the uploaded photo and the necessary personal data (including name, phone number and email address) with authorized third-party technical and operational service providers for system analysis, AI image rendering, cloud storage, and on-site experience operations.
All copyright and related intellectual property rights in the AI Portrait materials generated through the Campaign system and website belong exclusively to the Organizer. The Organizer authorises the participant to use the AI Portrait for non-commercial personal usage. The participant is strictly prohibited from modifying, creating derivative works from, or using the AI Portrait for commercial purposes.
All uploaded photos and AI Portrait files will be destroyed and deleted from the storage systems of the Organizer and the Advertising Agencies within 30 days after the end of the Event.
All personal data collected by the Organizer and the Advertising Agencies will be handled strictly in accordance with the “Privacy Policy.” For details on collection purposes, usage, and retention periods, please refer to the separate “Privacy Policy” published on this website.
Section V: VR Experience, Health & Safety, and Equipment Usage
The activities require participants to wear a VR head-mounted display. Individuals suffering from heart disease, hypertension, epilepsy, pregnancy, severe vertigo, claustrophobia, pre-existing binocular vision abnormalities, red-eye syndrome, other infectious eye diseases or physical discomfort are strictly prohibited to participate in the Event.
The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies assumes no responsibility for any adverse effects suffered by the participant due to the VR experience.
If participants experience any dizziness, nausea, or physical discomfort during the experience, they should immediately stop and seek assistance from on-site staff.
Participants must take care of all equipment in the Experience Zone (including but not limited to VR head-mounted displays, controllers, camera equipment, and display screens). If any equipment is damaged by the participant, the Organizer reserves the right to pursue legal liability and claim relevant compensation in accordance with the law.
Participants undertake not to engage in any act that may damage the rights, interests, or reputation of the Campaign, the Organizer, the Advertising Agencies, and relevant campaign sponsors. Such acts include, but are not limited to intentionally damaging equipment, publishing or displaying remarks/expressions involving indecent, religious, political, insinuating, abusive, defamatory, hateful, copyright-infringing, obscene, or pornographic content, as well as engaging in improper behaviour such as violent acts, personal attacks, incitement, threats, harassment, or infringement of others’ privacy.
To ensure order at the venue and a good interactive experience, participants must abide by the venue rules and follow the instructions and arrangements of on-site staffs.
Participants may only participate in the Event during opening hours and according to their pre-registered designated time slots. The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies reserve the right to adjust the Event opening hours based on MTR station passenger flow or on-site conditions without prior notice.
Without the prior written consent of the Organizer, participants shall not conduct any promotion, advertising, or display any promotional materials during the Event.
In case of improper behaviour, the Organizer and the Advertising Agencies reserve the right to suspend the Event immediately for any reason and cancel the eligibility of involved individuals without providing any compensation. If the improper behaviour is severe, the Organizer and the Advertising Agencies reserve the right to pursue legal liability and claim relevant compensation in accordance with the law.
By participating in this Campaign, participants agree and confirm that: The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies have the right to photograph, record, screenshot, or capture participant-related images, AI Portrait, audio, and social media content during the Campaign for promotional, marketing, or other reasonable purposes related to the Campaign. The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies may use the aforementioned materials and the AI Portrait worldwide, through any media and in any form, without further notice to participants or payment of any remuneration or compensation. Relevant materials include but are not limited to:
a) Screenshots, video, and audio recordings of participants during live streams;
b) Photos or videos taken of participants during the Event and live streams;
c) Photos or videos taken of participants during gift redemption; or
d) Photos, videos, or text content publicly shared by participants on social platforms related to this Event.
Section VI: MTR Mobile Points Redemption
Campaign Website MTR Points Redemption
a) Participants who correctly answer a quiz in the event website would be able to win 5 MTR Points per quiz per day. Participants must register and become registered members of MTR Mobile to redeem MTR Points. For details, please refer to the Terms of Use of the MTR Mobile application. Downloading the MTR Mobile application signifies agreement to its relevant Terms of Use.
b) Eligible participants will receive a promotion code after answering correctly, participants must log into the MTR Mobile application to redeem the promotion code on the same day to earn MTR Points; expired codes will be invalid. Each person is limited to redeeming a promotion code once per day, with no re-issuance.
On-site MTR Mobile Points Redemption
a) Participants who successfully register and attend the Event can obtain 50 MTR Points per event. Participants must register and become registered members of MTR Mobile to redeem MTR Points. For details, please refer to the Terms of Use of the MTR Mobile application. Downloading the MTR Mobile application signifies agreement to its relevant Terms of Use.
b) Eligible participants will receive a promotion code from staff at specific event locations. Participants must log into the MTR Mobile application to redeem the promotion code on the same day to earn MTR Points; expired codes will be invalid. Each person is limited to redeeming a promotion code once, with no re-issuance.
MTR Mobile promotion codes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or other gifts.
The redemption of MTR Mobile promotion codes cannot be reversed, cancelled, or refunded.

Section VII: Gift Redemption
The gift redemption period is from today until 20 October 2026 (“Redemption Period”). Overdue requests will not be processed.
Gifts are limited in quantity and registered on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last. If multiple participants register at similar times, the system will determine the order based on the actual server timestamp when the registration data is received. Participants should ensure their device and network connections are stable. The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies bear no responsibility nor provide compensation for registration failures caused by technical issues, including but not limited to network delays or system congestion.
If certain gifts involve long-distance travel or physical participation in experiential activities, participants must assess their personal health condition and consider purchasing appropriate travel insurance. During the activity, participants are responsible for their own personal safety and property protection. The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies assume no responsibility or liability for any accidents or property loss incurred during the experience.
All gifts must be collected in person by the participant at the designated location during the Redemption Period. Collection by proxy or postal arrangements will not be accepted. Please refer to the individual notification email for details.
Participants must present the electronic ticket reference number contained in the “5G VR Event Registration Confirmed” email to promotion staff on-site to verify winning eligibility. Failure to present this will result in cancellation of winning eligibility.
Gifts cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred, or resold. The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies will not accept requests to change gifts.
Once collected, the Organizer and the Advertising Agencies will not provide any replacement or compensation if gifts are lost, damaged, stolen, or exhibit quality differences.
The quality, functionality, safety standards, and maintenance arrangements of gifts are the sole responsibility of the relevant suppliers or sponsors and are beyond the control or management of the Organizer and the Advertising Agencies. The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies assume no responsibility for any problems, losses, or disputes arising from the gifts themselves. For related inquiries, please contact the relevant suppliers or sponsors directly.
Section VIII: Direct Marketing Authorization
The participant may agree to receive marketing communications provided by the Organizer, its campaign sponsors and authorised business partners. In that case, the following additional terms and conditions apply.
a) The participant agrees that the Organizer, the Advertising Agencies, campaign sponsors and authorized business partners may use personal data provided by participants in the Event (including name, phone number, email address, and age range) to send updates, latest products, services, promotional offers, campaigns, and marketing communications regarding the Organizer, the Advertising Agencies, their affiliates, or authorized business partners
b) The participant agrees that the Organizer and the Advertising Agencies may transfer or share the participant’s personal data (including name, phone number, email address, and age range) with designated third-party partners (such as authorised business partners and campaign sponsors) solely for the purpose of enabling such third parties to provide direct marketing and promotional communications to participants.
The provision of personal data for direct marketing purposes is purely voluntary. Participants may, at any time and free of charge, choose to opt out of receiving direct marketing communications or withdraw consent for the sharing of their personal data sharing with third parties. To unsubscribe, access, or correct data, participants may contact the Advertising Agencies via email at bmlmarketing@bravomedia.com.hk or/and hk.gameinfo@jcdecaux.com.
Section IX: Disclaimers, Adverse Weather, and Campaign Alteration Terms
The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies makes every effort to ensure smooth operation of the 5G network and VR system. However, the Organizer and the Advertising Agencies assume no legal liability for experience delays or interruptions caused by unstable network signals, telecommunication operator maintenance, mobile phone system incompatibility, or software glitches.
Participants must take care of their personal belongings. The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal items occurring in the Exhibition Zone.
The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies assume no responsibility or legal liability for any damages or losses suffered, incurred, or involved as a result of participating in the Event.
The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies shall not be held responsible for any delay, loss, error, or unidentifiable state of information submitted by participants due to technical problems such as computer, communication tools, or network issues, or other matters beyond the reasonable control of the Organizer or the Advertising Agencies.
If the Hong Kong Observatory issues a Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal, the Experience Zones will be temporarily closed. Please refer to the table below for adverse weather arrangements.

64. The Organizer and the Advertising Agencies reserve the right to modify, suspend, extend, or terminate the Event (including replacing Experience Zone themes, sponsor display content, or prizes) and amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
65. The Organizer reserves the final right of decision regarding all arrangements of the Event. In case of any dispute, the Organizer reserves the right of final interpretation.
66. If there is any inconsistency or discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
